Direct thermal printers print by creating the image directly on the paper with heat sensitive media stock - no ribbon, ink or toner is required. Similar to eftpos machines. These printers are ideal for short-term barcode label printing applications such as dispatch labels, shipping label, warehousing labels, healthcare labels, due date labels and more. Direct thermal media is sensitive to UV exposure, heat and friction. Therefore, their shelf-life varies depending on storage conditions.
